Nausea

Okay I'm going through an extremely stressful time right now. I had also been trying to get pregnant up to this point. The last two days I have been nauseas all day. I think it's just the stress....but I've been stressed before (never like this though) and never had anything like that happen before. I'm scared I could be pregnant - which I honestly don't know how I feel about that. But I'm only an estimated 5 days past ovulation....is it possible to start having "morning sickness" that soon? Anyone else get nauseas from stress?

Ummm, I've heard of women having pregnancy "symptoms" from the moment of conception, so I guess it is possible. On the other hand, I have seizures from stress, so I would also think having nausea is possible.
The more you worry about it the more you will stress.
You could try taking an early detection test, just realize that you could get a false negative if it is too early.
Good luck!

I get extreme morning sickness when pregnant (hyperemesis gravidarius-spelling!?) Anyhow, during my 2nd and 3rd pregnancy (the one I'm in now) I got sick right away. You could be pregnant.

I will say this, is you are pregnant, the sickness means it's most likely a viable one. However, if you aren't pregnant, stress could be playing a huge role in why you aren't. The more stressed you are-for whatever reason- the harder it is for your body to conceive. Try to limit whatever it is that's stressing you out, so you can be blissed out with a pregnancy! :goodvibes

Good luck!

I tend to get nausea when I'm stressed! I had some mild nausea with my pregnancies but not nearly as bad as when I'm stressed.

There are some really early PG tests, if you're that worried about it. Mine always showed positive before my period was due.

It's certainly possible. You can get one of those early-detection pregnancy tests...it's the only way you'll know for sure! :)

What's the soonest even an early test can be accurate? I think I have at least another 5 + days even then. The nausea has just been non-stop even when I am focused on other things and not thinking about what is stressing me out.

It depends if your hormones are high enough for the test to read. Like PP all I had to do was look at the test as it came out of the box and I saw the + (OK, maybe not that soon but as soon as the "fluid" reached the window.) even before I was due.

Are you Having headaches too...that can also lead to nausea. Since you haven't mentioned them I am thinking no.

If you wan tto know (especially early) use the first urine of the day as it tends to be the strongest.

Nope...no headaches. I would like to know sooner rather than later, I haven't been taking vitamins like I should and I'm probably still drinking too much caffeine. I didn't have any nausea at all with my first pregnancy which makes me wonder too.

When I was pg with DD, I was sick WAY before I got a positive HPT. When I had my m/c, I had no sickness whatsoever.

I'd hang on a few more days, it's not impossible to have a BFP (pos. test) at 9 dpo, but if you want until 10dpo or later, you'll have a better chance of getting a real deal positive, instead of a false negative (how disappointing they are!) I've had a tinge of nausea here and there, but I'm also wondering if it's just stress/caffiene/hunger, etc.

Hopefully you're preggers, if that's what you want. :)

With each of my pregnancies I felt VERY nauseous around the time of implantation. At one point I even woke from a sound sleep it was so bad. It would last a day or two and then go away until around week 6-7.

Honestly I'm not sure what I want. I really want to be - but with my current stress I'm not sure.. I am going to start taking my vitamins just in case...and cutting back on the caffeine - fortunately caffeine is my only vice to speak of :rotfl: But I don't want to get my hopes up because I'm afraid I'll just be disappointed. It took over a year and then clomid to get pregnant with DD....now I'm 6 years older to boot. I have an appointment for my annual and will talk to my doctor in April and I think she will probably have me do clomid again if we don't get there by ourselves before then. I just want to know already - the waiting just sucks!

It also could be gallstones. Happens during pregnancy and newly pregnant women first blame morning sickness because it is similar symptoms at times.

Oh I am wishing the best for you. I had terrible all-day sickness with both my kids but it did not show up until the 10th week and then it was violent. Rest up and take care.

Well I guess there's not point worrying about it right now. I had thought about going to get a quantitative blood test, but even that could be a false negative this early so I would be spending a lot of money for nothing. But I am starting to worry about feeling this sick for three straight days. I've never had that happen before so it's a little scary. (Due to stress or anything else for that matter and I've had high stress levels before) I just need to get through this week.....one day at a time.

I remember getting sick a week later, maybe less. I also tried one of those early pregnancy tests and it was negative, but a few weeks later the test showed that I was pregnant.

I wish you the very best of luck, and try not to stress to much. :goodvibes

Good luck to you!

I'm thinking pregnant. I felt sick to my stomach, I swear, within days and not long after the actual throwing up started. It was bad and lasted about 4 months.

Well as much as I would like to be pregnant 4 months of nausea doesn't sound like fun. I was lucky with DD and never had a hint of morning sickness. But I'll take it if it means DD gets a baby sister/brother :)

It isn't fun at all, I had 5-6 months of straight puking! But like you said, I'll gladly take it if it means DD gets a bro/sis. I've been torturing myself over here trying to do that! (clomid, charts, opks, monitoring CM...ugh!)

I wasn't sick at all with my son but about 4 days before I was expecting to get my monthly gift I felt nauseaous, took a test, and yup I was pregnant. I was thrilled until that morning sickness lasted until 19 weeks before it went away. Believe me I tried everything and nothing helped but luckily I was only really sick at night for about 4 or 5 hours - if I had been sick all day I probably would have lost it long before 19 weeks. A friend of mine was sick for 7 and a half months so I was thankful to be done "earlier" than that. Good luck!
