Last night I had one of my favourite dreams...that I was pregnant.

What's so strange about this is that I don't want or plan to have kids for about 10 years, really don't like babies and am not in the least bit broody....

But MAN that dream gets me every time! That warm fuzzy feeling, knowing there is a baby growing inside me, feeling all special and glowing and blooming.... :lovestruc

I have no idea if that's what pregnancy is like, but I love that dream! As long as it's a dream and nothing more for a loooonnnng time!

I used to get pregnant dreams before I was married, too. Even though I really wanted children, I didn't like those dreams at all. I'd spend the whole dream worrying about how I was going to tell my parents.

For some reason, when I dream it it's always after I've told my mum...in fact when I dream that I'm pregnant it's always a GOOD thing, which is totally the opposite to real life, because if I was pregnant it would be BAD BAD BADDDDD

Sounds like your womb has found a way to send you messages in your sleep. Be careful or it may succeed in it's agenda. ;)

It can send me all the messages it wants....I'M NOT LISTENING!!!! :confused3

I've had those dreams too. Woke up with the most incredible feeling that it was real, and was so sad when it hit me "it was only a dream". But I don't want my mind and my womb getting any ideas together. I'm too old for all that stuff. :rotfl:

And I'm far too young!

Actually I think I know why this is happening....

My grandma had my mum at 21, my mum had me at 21....and I'm going to be 21 next week!!!!

That might explain the dreams!

This is wierd...I had a dream the other night where I had a beautiful baby boy. He was in a cot next to my bed and then when I woke up the dream had felt so real that I had to turn around in my bed to see if he was there, its wierd because even though I do want kids I definatly don't want them for quite a few years (i'm 17) but that dream made me want *my* little boy.

I'm getting ready to start IVF and I had a strange dream the other night, too. First, a doctor told me I needed a quadruple bypass because the arteries in my heart were clogged. Then, I run into a Native American woman who tells me that I will survive the heart problems, but I won't be REALLY healthy for 3 years. She also tells me to keep an eye on my foot (which, ironically, has developed a little bruise and hurts!). Then, I'm in the audience of The Montel Williams Show and I'm talking to Sylvia Browne. We have the following conversation:

Me: Should I quit this job and look for something better or will the medical procedure I'll be having work?

Sylvia: No. Stay with this job. It's flexible and low-stress and it's perfect for you since it's going to work and there will be two and it's not going to be easy on you.

Me: Can you tell me what they are?

Sylvia: One of each. (then she laughs) Most people would stop after that, but you're going to on to have two more.

I very rarely remember my dreams and for me to remember this one word for word is odd. I know what you mean about the warm, fuzzy feeling....I woke up feeling really happy and content about what I'm facing ahead of me. Can you imagine if it turns out that way?? I think I'd probably pass out on the table if the doctor tells me it worked, there are two and there's one of each. :earseek:

I have these dreams too every once in a while, and I always think them as strange as DH and I are very much on the fence about kids. I enjoy babies and kids, but I'm not really sure I want one of my own 24/7. I'm much more inclined toward "favorite babysitter" than "mom".

In the last dream I had I kept taking test after test after test, refusing to believe them when they came out positive. Then I marched down to the doctor's office and make them give me a test. It was all very odd!

I wouldn't say it's far too young-I was 23 when I had my daughter. Of course, I don't know you though, and I think we're all ready at different times, so maybe you are too young.

I heard its fairly common to dream about pregnancy.

I once had a dream I was pregnant but I didn't know who the father was, and it was an immaculate conception as well, it seemed really normal in the dream, I wasn't upset or anything, it was just normal! But I was soooooooooo glad it was JUST a DREAM, LOL!! it was kind of funny though.

I am not a believer in the idea that dreams forecast the future, I don't think they have deep seeded meanings either. I just think dreams are a compliations of things you saw and heard throughout the day.

Awww, how can you not like babies? I mean really take away the crying, the spitting up and the poop and they are great. ;)

Just kidding. I have four and I loved every minute of them being babies! In fact I really miss that newborn stage. They smell so yummy and are so sweet. Right now they are yelling at each other over which show to watch! What happened to my babies?!

I used to dream just like that. Before I was married, it wasn't possible for me to be pregnant, and when I'd get pregnant in my dreams, it would be really confusing, but I'd just accept it. My mom, on the other hand, wasn't as understanding. :rotfl:
