National's Web page now announcing Quick Rent and Emerald Reserve

Just checking Nationals web page and they have finally updated it to show the new Emerald Reserve and Emerald Aisle rules to be in effect today, March 15. As a previous poster mentioned, you can no longer reserve a Full Size Car and select Emerald Aisle. Emerald Aisle can only be selected when choosing an Intermediate car. They do have Emerald Reserve available on all models now it looks like (at participating locations) which allows you to pick the color and car in the particular class you reserved. They have announced a new Quick Rent option for non Emerald Club members which allows anyone now to bypass the counter and go right to the class of car you reserved and pick one. Whatever vehicle you need to rent such as a fullsize car, SUV, convertible, or minivan, you’ll be amazed at the speed and convenience of QuickRent®. When you arrive at the location you’ll bypass the counter and go directly to the row of the car class you reserved. You can choose any vehicle… whatever make and model you want, whatever color you want. Then simply drive away!

QuickRent is available at 50 major airport locations across the United States.

Happy shopping. Any Emerald Club member who recently made a reservation and was forced to take counter may want to check their reservations again and select Emerald Reserve if they would like that feature.

Well, we knew it was coming. I'm not surprised.

So now you only get Emerald Aisle if you rent an Intermediate. Now when you rent a Full size it is NOT the same price as an Intermediate. It was $13 more for me.

I wonder what will happen to those of us who have a Full size Emerald Aisle reservation already...

I bet they are preparing us for the elimination of Emerald Aisle altogether.

Well, hopefully, I can book under this and not go to the counter in Orlando for my minivan.

Maybe it's too early to know, but what happens now to people who reserved a full size before March 15 and were guaranteed Emerald Aisle? Are they converted to Emerald Reserve? My reservation hasn't changed when I view it. Of course, my trip isn't until September. Who knows what will happen by then!!!
