National's Emerald Aisle

I was curious what kind of car people have found on the emerald aisle. Is it usually the same car you reserved, or have you gotten lucky and there was a SUV or luxury car on the aisle.

I wonder if one part of the day is better than antoher as far as geting lucky on the 'Aisle'.

it's all in the timing. I have gotten SUV's and Minivan's almost every time. It is all in the timing though...

did you reserve a minivan or an SUV. If not, how do you get one? I had reserved a full-size on the EA in April. There were only 2 there(both grand prixs) I needed room for 5 people(the grand prix doesn't really fit 5. I asked if I could take a minivan and they said no, only if you had reserved it. Just wondering how you do it?

I reserved a full size and the mini was on the aisle...

TT, you're lucky that you rented a full size, the family that rented an Intermediate with Aisle Service, that arrived while we were waiting; was given one of the intermediates (1of2) that were on the aisle. There were no other cars available.

If you're using National you should always check the rates for a full size car, frequently intermediate and full size are the same price (free upgrade built in).

Tinkerbell, Basically if they put a minivan on the aisle then you can have it if you have an aisle reservation. If they don't have extra mini vans then they probably won't put one on the aisle. I always recommend reserving the car size you feel like you need. I have found that rental car companies have a different view of full size than I do. For example, National listed the Malibu as full size! I think it is a pretty small full size.
