Yesterday I was on the National car site testing to see if my Nov 27th rate has gone down at all (for one week, ending 12/4). It hadn't, in fact it was more expensive. Well, today I had a couple of extra minutes so I thought, what the heck, I'll play with it some more. I put in the WWEB product id code, the code for my $20 off weekly coupon, and my contract id for TMFL, which is who I have my EA club contract with. More expensive. I went back and changed the contract ID to Priceless, and it's was even MORE expensive. I went back and took out the WWEB code, and, are you ready, IT WENT DOWN $38 FROM THE PRICE I HAD! :Pinkbounc Needless to say I grabbed it will I had it. My total price for Intermediate EA for one week was $140.40! Seems like a good rate to me. But, I will keep checking between now and then to see if it goes down even more!!!

So don't think adding the Product Rate code automatically helps. It might actually make it more expensive. So, so weird!!

if you do a view of a reservation.....

sometimes there is a product rate code included in it .....even when you did NOT enter one when making the initial reservation

A poster who is no longer on these boards (GH) had said for many years, do not put the product rate code in yourself. National will automatically put it in if it gives you the lowest rate (or words to that effect).

You should always try your reservations without codes, different codes, coupons, etc. Then look at the results. Then reserve the one with the best price.

It did the same thing for me a couple of weeks back... the base rate with the WWEB was $185 but without it the base rate was around $170.... go figure!

Well, I tried the same sort of switching around on different codes, wweb etc and can't get below $159 total for EA 11/6-13 (7 days).

Will keep trying but for now, have towncar booked and even with extra transfer to Hard Rock, it's cheaper. Although if could get National for your 140 would probably switch.

I used National last May down there and had 8 full days for 134 with these same codes.

the WWEB product code ......was programmed for a couple of months to give a base rate of 175$ for intermediate and 185$ for full size ( it was a fall special )

our original for november was 221$ without WWEB but went down to 160$~ when we used the WWEB....

the base rate now for november 14 - 21 is 175.71 without using the "WWEB" code and 175$ when the WWEB is included so a grand total saving of 71 cents
