Glad to see folks saving money. The change didn't affect my Dec or Jan trips. My Dec. trip is a four day rental, so no change. I am using a free weekend coupon, so my total is $108 after everything.

Rates are pretty low for January.

Have you all checked Dollar's rates? I've always been a loyal National person, but my Dollar minivan rate for 2 weeks in December is a clear $100 less than my National rate with the Priceless code and Ent. book coupon.

I found a great change today. We had a 15 pass. van for 9 days reserved for $680 which was a great rate compared to other rental car places. Today, I just went and checked rates and got the same 15 pass. van for total $267!!!! I did it twice and got the same rate! Unbelievable change! I'm taking that deal!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you are clearing your cookies before checking rates. I checked rates at work and it went down $6 for Dec 4 - 13. When I tried the same dates at home that night it was still at the higher rate.

Moral: Clear out those darn cookies before booking at National!

At the top of your browser, go to Tools, then Internet Options. In the middle of that popup, click where it asks to Delete Cookies. Click OK.

Then go to National.

I used Priceline ID and Entertainment coupon.
