National rate change on confirmation

I made a reservation with National about a month ago. Got a good rate with both disney card discounts. I went in to just check it today and the confirmation page came up with a different (higher) amt. The base rate was the same but the DC card discount was gone and the DC coupon discount was slightly higher leaving me with a reservation that was almost $30 more. I called National and the guy said what he was looking at was the same rate as my original rate and that what showed up on my confirmation today must be the rate charged today. He said I would get charged the original rate. I will bring my original confirmation sheet with me obviously but I am a little worried about why this other amount would even show up. Has this happened to any one else and was there a problem when you got your car? We don't go til Aug. so I won't know for a while how this will work out.

I looked up mine today, just to see what it looked like and it added an extra day in the totals... I originally (and still) have 1 week and 4 additional days which is the true count. For some reason the internet system added an additional day to the totals when I used the view reservation. National's internet system seems to be pretty buggy, so if the man on the phone confirmed the rate you have printed when you made the original reservation I would think you should be fine. Like you said make sure you bring all paperwork with you of course. Strange system they have there, I think they need to put a fire under their systems developers to make a more accurate system.

I made a reservation for Feb 2002. When I went back to confirm, the system had added on an additional day.

I cancelled the reservation and created a new one, which did the same thing.

I called National and they have even different numbers for the reservation. They stated they will fax me their reservation information.

If I figure it out, I will post the results!

I though it was me. I made a ressie for national for aug and I have one confirmation sheet with one price and another with a different price on it! the confirmation I printed out when I made the ressie is less than the confirmation they emailed me.

Thanks to the original post on this I went in to check my ressie for next week to AZ and sure enough there was another day added and my price was $30.00 higher!

I got on the phone and asked to speak with tech. support. We went through a few things but the extra day still showed. I was told that there is an existing problem with the system but my original rate is what will be accepted. My rate is for 7 days so the adding of a day in error is easy to see.

I will check back to see if the problem has been corrected. I just didn't want a problem when it's time to pay. I will still be bringing all my printouts just in case!

I just checked my ressie thanks to this post and mine is $40 more and missing one day. It's funny since I worked with the manager on Monday to have them correct the price in their system with the price on my confirmation. I have the fax with the correct price and days so I will be bringing this with me. It would be nice if National would fix their "system problem" so we could view our ressies correctly.

Went and looked at my ressie for Aug 24-Sep 01. There's a
day missing! So it differs from the print out I have. Is there
a need to call, do you think?

I called National today to confirm rates, and their computers showed a higher rate than what my printout said. That's pretty annoying. I don't want to have to spend time at the counter straightening out the rate when I return the car.

Haha! This JUST happened to me before I even noticed this thread! I made the reservation online and have saved the confirmation e-mail. When I called to check he actually said it was a couple of bucks LOWER than my original quote! I'll be sure to bring all documentation, but I really don't think there will be a problem at checkout.

I would email them to check and confirm your rates. I made reservations for 12 days with EA service and a rate of $270.00. When I went to view my reservation, it showed the rate at $407.00.
When I emailed them, they confirmed my rate of $270 and indicated there were problems with the view reserviation on the web. I will be bringing copies of my original confirmation page, confirmation email and the email from customer service confirming my rate.

That review reservation feature on the National Page is a terrible thing. Even if you make absolutely no changes on the page, it's generally impossible to retrieve your original rate. I only tried using it one time, and will never use it again. Print out your confirmation when you make the reservation, and print out your e-mail confirmation. Then call National if you want to review or confirm your rate.:D

I just checked my reservation for Jan. 2-7 and it is exactly the same as it was a month ago; $109 for a compact. We'll see...
