National Rate-can I do any better?

Rate came to $124.82 or $24.96 per day

I have had better rates in the past, but this seems to be the best I can get right at the moment.

It helps to have specific dates so others can play with your dates and see what they can get.

I should think you could do better. Give me your dates, and I'll fiddle with it and see what I can come up with.

o.k., pick up is Oct 6 8:00 A.M. return is Oct. 10 at 8:00 P.M.

Also, I have a 2 car upgrade coupon. If I drop the $20.00 off coupon, it charges me $24.00 additional and changes me from an intermediate to a full-size.

We have 2 adults and 2 teens with luggage, would this upgrade be worth the $24.00? I have never had a full-size before, so not sure what we would be getting.

I've tried quite a few different combinations, and I'm not beating your $124 rate. That's the lowest I can get no matter what combination I try.

You may have to just wait until your dates get closer.

thanks for giving it a try. I was getting the better rate with the am-ex code and everyone else was saying with the vacation code, so I couldn't figure it out. Maybe others may wish to try the am-ex code off of mousesavers.

I tried the AmEx code, I tried the Priceless code, I tried the Carlson Code, I tried all kinds of product codes, I tried coupon....

$124 seems to be it!

no, I wasn't questioning what you checked. I meant since the am-ex code was the lowest for me, that maybe it would get some lower rates for other people on their own reservations. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.

one more thing, anyone have any opinions on paying the additional $24.00 and using the 2 car upgrade coupon instead of the $20.00 off the weekly rate? The upgrade changed me from an intermediate to a full-size, which I have never rented before. We usually pull a PT Cruiser or something similar off the Aisle, so not sure what a full-size is.
