Does anyone know if the National mini-vans have intigrated child seats in them?
I'm going to be traveling with two preschoolers and I DON'T want to have to lug the carseats with us, nor do I want to rent the outdated plastic germ-infested rental seats that are available.

Thanks!

:earseek:

Nope,

No car seats integrated in the vans. This could cause a problem for people traveling without kids. Either travel with your own, or rent one!

What do you mean it could cause a problem for people travelling without kids? If you don't have kids, you simply fold the cushion up into the back of the seat and nobody knows the child seat is even there.

We normally rent at National for this reason. (They have vans with integrated car seats.) However, some have them and some don't. It took alot of looking last time we were there to find one that had the seat.
Good Luck!

Thanks Lisa! We rented from Budget last time and it had the seats, but I got a much better rate with National. We'll just keep looking until we find one. :Pinkbounc

Sorry :guilty:

I was taking an educated guess on that one. :p

Truthfully though, you would think that they would charge you extra and give you a "special" van with the integrated seats....

Hi, MickeyMomma, When we could not find one easily, we asked an attendant to help us. He ended up getting one for us that was not out. He was very helpful. That was the only time we ever had trouble finding one on our own.
Have a great trip!

Umm... why wouldn't the integrated seats have germs???

They (the integrated seats) don't seem to be used much, (if at all) they have no crevices, covers etc that are on the old ones they rent.

What are the brand of vans that have these seats? Does anyone know? We picked a Montana last year and didn't notice the seats, but I didn't know I could ask for them. May have to do that next time.

We have four year old twins and we packed the smaller 1/2 booster seats (Walmart $14) into a Christmas wreath bag and checked it like luggage. We use these alot, we rent alot and the cost is better for us. Rental charges are daily and can get expensive. The wreath bag hung on the stroller so it wasn't bad lugging....actually their isn't any "lugging" because at the airport you check it in right away and pick up is a shuttle to the rental company. I'd give it more thought for if you need two seats...that's twice the rental!
