National January Rates Are Down

I just got an e-mail from National offering some specials. I finally got my January rental rate down into the price range that I'm happy with. When I first started checking rates a few months ago, I was really nervous.Today, I got a rate of $198.00 for 1 week plus 1 day for an intermediate car. I used an Entertainment free day coupon code and I previously joined their Emerald Club with a link thru Mousesavers. Now, all I have to do is wait until next week when I should get the last minute e-mail specials, and maybe I can reduce it even further. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I've had success lowering my rate too. It went from $212 for an intermediate for one week to $172 using an online e-coupon on Nationals site that was for $40 off. It has to be a rental with a Saturday overnight, and the rental must be picked up by 1/13/07.
