National Emerald Club: changes soon?

<font face="times" size="+0">has anyone else seen the notices that have supposedly been sent out regarding changes to National's Emerald Club program?

this is what i saw on the website:

A New Emerald Club is coming April 18th!

Many of you have received information in the mail regarding a new chapter for Emerald Club. As you are aware, there are many options for you to choose from. Beginning April 19th, you will be able to access these options from the Nationalcar.com website. Please come back April 19th and at that time login to your Emerald club profile and update your communication and reward preferences. You can also still forward these to the fax number or address listed on the profile form in the package you received. Whichever is more convenient for you. Thank you, and we hope you enjoy all the new benefits Emerald Club has to offer.

what is this all about? i thought they just changed the Emerald Club last year... now more changes? i hope they are good changes. </font>

It looks like they are enhancing the online options and that is about it.

Gail, while we have you here-do you know if National gives you a grace hour or two when you are returning your car before they start charging? or do you have to be right on time? We are renting from the Dolphin location.

They give you a 59 minute grace period. 60 mins and it is retroactive to the first hour. IE: you are supposed to return it at 12 pm, you get there at 12:59, no problem. Get there at 1pm and you are now paying that extra hour. Go over two hours late and you pay for an additional day.

I always put my return time after what I expect, I usually put the actual departure time of the plane that way I don't have to worry. One time I returned the car earlier than the time I reserved and it was earlier than the time of day that I picked it up and they reduced my final cost (some of the taxes are per day).
