National EC and 2nd Driver

Is it still free for a second driver if you belong to the Emerald Club?

I keep reading different things about it....thanks!

We recently rented at a National in Ohio and second driver was free (we're also EC).

I'm an EC member. I know your spouse is free but I'm not sure about anyone else. When I rented a car in Orlando (by myself, my husband was not along) and wanted to add my sister as a driver I had to pay an extra $5 per day.

From the National Emerald Club website:

Authorized Drivers

Free (in the United States and Canada): An Emerald Club members spouse, business partner, employer, or fellow associate who has an assigned corporate contract with National and drives the car for business purposes.

All other additional authorized driver situations are subject to a daily charge.
