National EA: Can I rent two vehicles?

We are Emerald Aisle members who will be traveling with another family in March. Can I reserve two cars (2 separate reservations) on my AE membership, but put one in another name? Anyone have any experience with this?

No, the EA will only allow you to put the cars in your name and then if you try to have someone else pick it up it becomes a HUGE hassle!

Ok...thanks for the info! Not sure how we're going to handle this as we will be flying in together and I don't want them to have to wait at the counter while we bypass.....any ideas?

National now allows anyone to do an Emerald 'Reserve' Reservation - you simply input all the needed information when doing the reservation and can then bypass the counter and go straight to the car - Emerald Reserve also does not limit you to and Intermediate the way EA does. With Emerald Reserve, you select your preferred car class. Hope this helps.

I believe they call it "quick rent" for non Emerald Club members. You cannot use coupons with quick rent, you can for Emerald Aisle (except upgrades).

I agree with CarolA! Have them use the link at mousesavers.com to get a free membership and your problems are solved. The site instantly issues you your EC number and you can print it our so you have proof you are a member. It works slick. I used it last summer for 3 different families. We all used EA and were in and out of the National area in a jiffy!
