I have searched National rental almost daily to get a decent rate on our rental in Oct. Most contract ID's say they give up to 20% off but it wasn't until this past week that I found one that gives the full 20%- FF contract ID.
Does anyone know of any others?

I got a good rate that I am very pleased with for our trip 12/3 - 12/7 at National using the following:

Cont ID: 5125601 (American Express - got from mousesavers)
Coupon: 10008484 (Pricless Vacations - (Printed from mousesvers link).

My total for 4 days EA including taxes and fees is $91.68 - Intermediate size.

Good Luck:D

:D Hope you get a good rate with it.

Been good...busy getting son and daughter ready to get off for college...planning very budget conscious WDW trip for Dec. (the room codes helped!!!)...just have my CP package to book on 9/2 and we should be all set.

I've been in touch with our freind and she is doing well...notice under my name above DD!!!!!

Hope all is well with your trip planning...I think it's one of the best parts of the trip...I love getting deals and these websites are invaluable. Like my DW says every time I find a new deal "pretty soon they'll be paying us to go" !!!!:D

What is the FF contract id, and what does FF stand for? I thought I knew 'em all...oh well!

FF stands for Frequent Flyer. Some of the FF programs have perks like this.

I generally find the priceless vacations contract ID (I still can't find that coupon for priceless....could you link directly to it??) gives the best discount.

It saves you the concession fee, which is 9.8%, and on top of that will give you (usually) 10% off the base rate. So you're saving .2% shy of 20%! :)

Steve - Thanks for the codes that is the cheapest rate I have seen for 4 days, thats all I need. Will they ask to see an American Express card?

:D I got that code at www.mousesavers.com and it says they won't ask to see it but if they do it would be good to have the AE card. I have a Corporate Card that I can show just in case. However, my experiance with National and from what I've read here is that they never check anything. Now of course anyone who has ever had Codes checked are going to go wild when they read what I wrote but it's just my opinion from experiance at National.

Good Luck:D

Sign up for Emerald Aisle (EA) and you can bypass the counter completely and just go pick out a car. EA is now Intermediate size cars. There is a link on www.mousesavers.com for free EA membership.:D

Thanks for the qucik response but oh no the page is coming up with an error.....does anyone know if you really need the coupon upon arrival?

That worked thanks so very much....I am only renting a car for 3 days of my trip (dh) must spend time at Portifino and US/IOA which to me is cause for divorce) and I now have an itermed for $61.77 for a total of 3 days....THANKS TO ALL ON THESE BOARDS

steve

thanks for your reply about the coupon

national used to have a "free rental day" coupon that would shave more than 20$ off the base rate if it was high enough

have not seen these in a while, have only seen "free weekend day" coupons

from the looks of other posts this code does shave more than 20$ off a rental but is good only on weekends
