National Car Rental

Hi; Has anyone used National car rental lately? I am considering this because at the end of the cruise we will be going to WDW with a stop at KSC. Given that it will be new year's eve the budget (renting budget going to the port) desk at downtown disney will close early, National is my other option with Swan or the transportation center as the drop off point.

Is the cab fare to National really high? Is it difficult to get there?

On our last cruise, we took a cab from the port to National to pick up the car. I think I had read that "white" cab gave a flat rate of $11, but we only saw one taxi in the lot. I think the fare was $13.50 when we arrived at the car place. It was easy to find and not too far out of the way. We were the only customers so we were quickly on our way.

Use Budget, I have found them to be less expensive, and you can drop it off at the Doubletree by Downtown Disney.

Thanks Billinaz. That was what I wanted to do, unfortunately Budget close early on New Years eve and New years day. It looks like I may skip KSC so that I can the car back.
