National car rental

Anyone used National car rental from MCO? it states on their web site you can go straight out to the garage and pick up the car without visiting any desk, anyone done this?
I know you can sign up for emerald membership but it appears you can't do it if your from the UK.

Only a few days to go and we have now decided to rent a car whilst we are in disney, nothing like a bit of last minute planning!

I think they are probably one of the only companies I've never used, they are always really pricey! but they are a few quid cheaper than anyone else for my dates, plus if I don't have to go to the desk even better.

Only 3 days to go and I haven't even got anything ready yet , work has been so busy I haven't even thought about it. Roll on Friday...

I guess for your first time, you'll need to go to the counter.
You can't sign up for emerald if you're not in the US or Canada
and the clerk at the desk will definitely need to see your ID and Driver's license to enroll you in the program, or even to let you rent a car at all
If Emerald club members are allowed to skip counters it's because their account is tied to their driver's license and ID.

The "skip the counter" thing might only be avalaible upon your second rental, once your emerald card has been issued (looks like 4 to 6 weeks delay)

I think I may need to go to the counter, but they also have another scheme where you don't have to belong to emerald and its called queue jump, you just have to put in your driving license and cc details before pick up and show them on exciting the garage in the car.
