National Car rental from Doubletree??

Hi there we are looking to rent a car to drive to port canaveral. We r staying at ssr prior to departing for the port. We want to rent a convertable for a day todrive there. Is it possible to rent from Double tree when staying at ssr? Can u walk to this location from ssr? Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Yes it can be done. But keep in mind the car selection at hotel locations are very limited so the chance of getting a converable is slim.
The walk from Downtown Disney is about 15 minutes.
You can also rent an Avis car at the Hilton and it is a 5 -8 minute walk from Downtown Disney. We have rented from there many times.

Thanks for the info if u reserve a convertiable shouldn't u get one if thats what u have paid for?

If the car is not available at that location at the time you pick up your car you will be left with whatever they have on hand at that time.
The hotel car rental centers only have a handful of car on their lot where as the airport locations have several dozen to choose from.
A couple times I had rented an ecomony car at the Hilton and got there and they were out of ecomony cars and all they had were full size. So I took the full size and they did not increase my rental rate either! Which was a nice plus.

Budget Rental is at the Doubletree. Alamo/National are at the Dolphin and the Car Care Center.
