I was visiting the Priceline website and I see it states National "shuttle" for MCO. The last time I rented from them, it was in the airport. Can anyone confirm it is still right in the airport, no shuttle required?

Also, we are needing the rental for next month and having a difficult time finding anything decently priced. We are probably going for full size, and it looks like $500 to $600 is the going rate yikes..

If using Priceline (have not done this before) is it likely one will end up with an offsite (shuttle) rental company? We really like not taking the shuttle and will have my mother and daughter with us this trip.

Wishing I purchased an Entertainment Club book this year, lol....

Well, first, you can still purchase a 2009 Entertainment book - probably greatly discounted by now.

Most likely, given that we're discussing MCO, the only off-site/shuttle rental agency Priceline would use is Hertz.

National's rate have been very high this year. We are very spoiled from past years. I've had to change my level of acceptance of a rate now. If the base rate is under $200 a week now, I consider that a good rate. I reserved a mid-size for my mid-July trip and the base rate is $228 (but some discounts/and coupons helped it). I'm glad I did as the same rental is over $300 now. Keep an eye on the last minute rates which are about 2 weeks prior to traveling. My last 2 trips this year they dropped a little--about $178 base rate per week. My my late January rate stayed high I was shocked, then when my May rate stayed high I was not so shocked. Now I just try to get a decent rate as low rates just don't happen anymore. Good luck!! I'll be watching for a lower July rate (and haven't even though of my August rates yet!).

Rates are very high this year. I'm going June 13 - 20 the best I could do with National for Emerald Aisle intermediate is $240 total, which is my corporate rate (which does include insurance). I've tried codes and can't get much under $300.

One more question - if I am staying at Animal Kingdom Villas and reserve to pickup at the Car Care Center, do they have a shuttle to come pick me up and take me over there? Thanks...

They do. Be sure to have the CCC direct number with you (available on your reservation or confirmation page) and call an hour to a day in advance.
