National 2 class upgrade to a minivan **problems at checkout**

I reserved a minivan using the 2 class upgrade and was allowed on Nationals website to choose a minivan for $224 with unlimted mileage. I think a lot of others on this board were too. We got to MCO last Friday and chose an Uplander no problem. When we returned the van we were charged $414.00! I walked over to the counter and the lady there informed me that a minivan was not the same as a full size. The weird thing is I showed her the email I had gotten and it clearly stated that we had "reserved a minivan for $224 and coupon was accepted"! She said she doesn't use websites because they never work! My husband said you have no confidence in your own website and she replied "no". Anyway......she finally called a manager over and they agreed to accept the $224 (actually the manager didn't even look at my paperwork just said give it to them) The moral is....we talked with her for about a half an hour and almost missed out flight! So for anyone who has this same coupon just remember all your emails and paperwork.

Next time, don't waste time arguing with a low level employee for so long - ask for a manager or supervisor right away.

The same thing happened to us over Memorial day weekend. When I saw the total I marched right over to the aisle counter & showed them my original confirmation (showing the price). They corrected it & refunded me the difference. It took a couple of extra minutes but, it was time well spent. The amployees couldn't explain why it wasn't coming up with the correct pricing.
