Nathan's Wish Trip Aug. 2008

Robin, I think our families could take a trip to the world together and have a blast! You did so many of the same things we did that we love! And I think our husbands could just head for the nearest bench or lounge chair by the pool while we ran and ran!

I will post some of the soggy hawaiian pictures when I get to the Animal Kingdom day. Tomorrow is my day off and I am going to try and get at least 2 more days of TR done! Those pictures just make me nuts!

Hey, it's my day! Well, the day where you make the outfits I made, at least, so I can pretend I was there too! They sure do look cute in them!

It's too bad about the rain but at least there were no lines!

That's so nice you had a great waiter. I love when someone goes out of their way to make sure you have a great time. They probably don't think much about it, but you think about how much fun you had later. Good memories!

We stoped by a Coca-Cola taste test shop. They had different Colas from around the world that you could sample. Some were pretty gross. I can't remember the name of it.
It's Beverly............
make sure to tell all your friends and relatives that they want to try the oddly delicious tasting Beverly.
:drinking1

You will be 2/4 right.
It is oddly tasting.....
and, it is called Beverly......
and taste is very individual:rolleyes1

Hello there! We couldn't find the right spot to try out all the different Coca Cola's on our first trip in 2006. We were having such a good time I didn't try that hard, really. This time I have filled the boys in on "our little secret" and we are going to try very hard to find the right place and have their Dad try the Beverly. Should be interesting...

I didn't know they had a coke tasting place at Epcot! We did that at World of Coke summer of '07 and the boys loved tasting all the drinks. We have video of my son trying the Beverly!

Robin- I am loving your trip report!

Boy has it been a long time since I updated this report.

Well everyone is in school and doing fine. We are having a few issues with Nathan. Since he has had frontal lobe damage to his brain, he really has no inhibitions. So when his science teacher told him to do something and he didn't want to......he told him off  We are trying to remind him to think first and react later. He just tells it like it is and tells people off if needed. He has a tough time controling his emotions especially anger. He will not act out his anger, but he will speak up. He is doing really good in school just a few issues in English. Trying to remember vocab words is tough and reading comprehension is also hard. He is having a little difficulty in the social scene. All of his friends have moved on and he has not. He missed a year of school (he was tutored) and did not have much interaction with other kids.:sad2: His Speech/Lang. therapist at school is doing some social scripting with him so he knows what to talk about and how to act.

I was unable to go back to my old job, so I found a new one. I start on Monday Nov. 3. It is a part-time nursing position at a very busy pediatric office. The hours work great. I am still able to take Nathan to school and Courtney can pick him up. She is a senior  this year and has senior privileges and is able to leave school early if she has a study. and she just happened to make her schedule so that she has 3 studies at the end of the day and can leave school around 2 hours early :thumbsup2 . Only bad part is that it prevents her from getting a job because she has to be with Nathan after school 4 days a week.

I finally got my Photopass CD. I will be upload my favorite pictures soon.

Congratulations on the job! I just went back to work part time after being home for 6 years. Hugs to Nathan! I am glad he is doing well at school for the most part.
