Those outfits are so cute! I think I will be able to spot you guys in a crowd!

Love the great outfits. It is amazing how well the DISboutiquers can make things that are so perfect for these kids. I too love those shorts! Are the suitcases out yet? I am so excited for you to go.

They immediately knew which one they wanted. Nathan chose the Wall-E roll up, Since Morgan's favorite color is pink, she chose the pink Mickey, and Katelyn's favorite color is blue, so she has the blue Mickey. Perfect :thumbsup2 :cool1: Thank you all. Thanks Sarabeth for the beautiful picture :lovestruc

It is so awesome to receive such beautiful, personalized gifts from all of you. We do not really know you but you have opened your hearts to pay it forward and spread some extra pixie dust our way. We really appreciate all you have done for Nathan and our family :lovestruc Thank you bisboutiquers . :flower3: I hope to join the disboutiquers and pass it on when we get back and the kids are in school and everyone is settled.

WOOHOO :goodvibes :woohoo:
Reading Amy's and Heather's trip reports have made us so excited. We can hardly wait :)
But first, Nathan has a whole day of educational and neuro testing today. We have to be in Boston all day :sad2: The testing will give us a acurate picture of where Nathan is now. We are still looking for someone to give us a prognosis. There were only 4 cases of EEE in the US last year. A lot of the doctors can't give us an answer. They only say that his path in life has changed and he will not be the same boy that he would have been had he not got sick. They say it could be anywhere from 1-5 years before we get a base line on him.
I coned my oldest daughter into coming with me to keep me company :) . She got her dorm assignment for next year, so we might try to find it after. She is going to Northeastern Univ. on Sept 2 :sad2: I have a really good relationship with all my kids and I am so pround of all of them. But I will miss Kim when she heads off to school agian. :sad1: :sad2: I try not to think about it or I get all teary. At least this time she will be closer.
My almost 17yr old (on Wed, she said that this is her birthday week, so we have to be nice to her :) )will stay with Morgan and Katelyn and take them to the movies. It is going to rain AGAIN.

You are all in my prayers. I wish we had some of your rain! I cannot believe you only have five more days!!! :goofy:

I'll be keeping Nathan and your family in my prayers that things go well today. All day testing and appts can be such a draining experience but just keep thinking "It's almost Disney Time:yay: " How nice that Kim is going with you to help the time pass a little more quickly.

Happy Birthday to your daughter this week. You have a couple coming up don't you? We have 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson with birthdays this week. Kaylee and Gabrielle on Tuesday and Ali on Wednesday and then Hayden on Friday! Lots of presents to get this week.

Start getting those suitcases packed up.
Denise

I'm so glad you are all excited to go!!! I hope that this trip to the specialist gets you all a better answer than you have been given. I will be thinking of you! LOTS OF

Robin,

All day testing - poor Nathan. Luckily, there is a prize coming that will make today worth it. Enjoy your time with your daughter - they grow up way too quickly.

I have enjoyed reading your TR and love everything that the DisBoutique gals have been sending your family. Looking forward to hearing how the trip goes - you're going to have a wonderful time!

I'm glad they got there in time! I feel bad for cutting it so close but I'm prone to procrastination. I keep meaning to do something about that one of these days... :rotfl: I hope you all have a wonderful trip and bring back lots of magical memories.

Thanks for all the well wishes :)

Well it was a long day for Nathan and us. We didn't get home until 6pm. The DR. gave me some of the results, he will send us the report later. He had a few days of educational and neurophyc testing just before he left the rehab hospital. On some things he has improved. The DR feels that his memory is the same as it was last November. He said that it worries him. It could indicate permanent damage to the areas of his brain that deals with memory, which could impact him educationally. He has impaired ability to retain new information. He repeats himself all the time. He needs a lot of repetition to remember anything new. The dr suggested a repeat MRI to see if the damage is permanent. We see the neurologist again in September and I'm sure they will set that up. I thought I did see an improvement in memory, but maybe I just wanted to see it :sad1: . I have to remind myself that we are blessed that he is alive and it could be a lot worse.
It will be great to get away THIS WEEKEND :dance3: I am so ready to have some fun :cool1: I can't believe that it is so close :) Nathan is beside himself with excitement :yay: :yay: :yay:

Big hugs for you about the testing. I can't believe you leave in 4 days!!!!!!!!

 about the testing.
I can't wait for y'all to get away to that magical land. I know y'all are going to have fabulous time. I love that he is getting excited.

Nathan has been receiving speech therapy since he left the rehab hospital. He has seen the same person since November. She is wonderful by the way. He sees her 2-3 times a week. She works alot on language based issues and memory. I told her about the dr in Boston and she did not agree. She said that he definitely has improved in his memory, it is slow and takes a lot of repetition, but he has improved. She did this memory test on him. She had him memorize 10 diffferent numbers that were arranged in a certain way on a piece of paper. Take it away, distract him with another activity and a few minutes later, see if he could recall the numbers and where they were placed on the paper. It took a while but he did it :thumbsup2 He got them all right. She told me to take that paper to the doctor, show him and tell him to blow his nose with it :rotfl: :rotfl: . It makes me feel better :dance3: . For now we will concentrate on packing :yay: This is how all my kids feel :yay: :woohoo:
