I am waiting for approval for OKW resale contract. My gosh I forgotten what it is like to sit on pins and needles. I want my points so bad I go to bed dreaming of them. :lmao:

I have learned so much from this board. It is my new best friend. When I find out about my points, I am going to buy 50 points in BWV and HHI for February. Now, I know what to do. I want the 11 month window. Yes, I do. I want only one contract. Yes, I do. :wizard: I feel as smart as a wizard now.

I got the method of pricing DCL from Dumbo71, so know I can determine what is a good deal with real facts. Before I was doing - I think it is a good deal.. but....:scared1:

:woohoo: I feel l am in the drivers seat now. I have ideas and I will have some great vacations at good prices.

Regarding the price drop. I don't see it guys. In 35 years.. there is something called inflation and present value. So, the price should not drop. You might not get the increases like from 91 to 01. But there will be an increase. Look at the cost of houses build years ago. They typically have gone up in price. They might not have the increases like new home structures. However, old houses in good locations will always go up. So, closer to WDW, might be better than staying 30 minutes away. Do not count our OKW. :hourglass

Are you feeling ok????LOL, I remember waiting to pass, seemed like it took forever, then I had to wait to close, then to get into the system and receive our Member ID, Lots of waiting still to come, just be patient, I am sure all will work out just as you planned!!!

Welcome home (In advanced)

As the contracts near 2042 Disney will stop excercising ROFR and the prices will most assuredly drop drastically. The resale prices are kept artificially high by Disney's ROFR process. In 35 years our contracts will be worth nothing!! I think looking at this from an investment perspective is a mistake. Come 2042 we don't 'own' anything, zero, zip, nada! If you're looking at this as a way to make money I can certainly see a lot better investment vehicles out there. Unlike the housing market our DVC memberships have a finite usable term, and once that term expires our 'investments' are worthless.

While I'm sure that dumbo71 was trying to be helpful by illustrating his particular sales scenario I doubt that he would recommend buying DVC for this purpose. You may or may not see price increases in resales over the next 10 to 15 years, I think that the resorts that end in 2042 will begin to lose their appeal as people opt for resales from the newer resorts with extended ownership terms.

Good luck! Hope all turms out well.

I want my points so bad I go to bed dreaming of them.

What do the points look like in your dreams? :confused3: Are they like crazy digits dancing around or are the maybe marching in formation like a well disciplined army of points?

Don't put too much into one contract... Our only mistake was putting all our points in one contract. NOW AKV is coming along and we would if we could sell some of our points to buy there, but we can't because we can't sell just a portion of a contract.

Good Luck :thumbsup2:
