Nassau with DCl

Hi,
We are doing the 7day land and sea package in April 2004. All the Nassau Excurtions sound great. I was wondering if anyone had suggestion on what to do? Or what to Miss. Our Children are 11 & 10.

You will probably want to post this question on the Cruise Boards. But since you asked here, I would suggest DO NOT go to the Straw Market in Nassau!! I found it smelly and the merchants were VERY pushy!!!

The Atlantis Resort is a nice excursion. The Pirate Museum might be nice for the kids. There are several Beach Excursions, and they have horse drawn carriage tours of the city.

Frankly we were sorry we even got off in Nassau. We walked around for about 1/2 hours and took a few pictures and then headed right back to th ship. As EmmasGrammy said people are very pushy not only at the straw market, but as soon as disembark you have women chasing you to braid your hair and men chasing you to use theri cabs or give you tours.

Back on the ship it was like having the whole place to yourself. Next time we won't bother to get off.

Atlantis wasn't worth it? We were leaning to go on the tour of Ardastra Gardens, Most of the trip is on a bus. But Maybe well do a quick run to the pirate museum

We did the dolphin excursion...for the first part of the morning...then went to the bridge tour-not to be missed-that was awsome (honestly I thought it would be boring -I should have known better) then we took our free stuff coupons from the jewlery talk that they had...it was pretty cool...as long as you told them "no thanks" they were fine-we didnt go to the straw market though...I really didnt want to...but we did the punch in play-again a jewlery thing....and that is how we saw nassau...it wasnt bad-actually I look forward to going back.... and I thought I wasnt going to like it either but as long as you stay with disney approved people you'll be fine...I got some nice stones and am having a ring made from one of them..
