I am sure that many will have input on this.. For me, the port at Nassau leaves a lot to be desired. There is a "mall" that you HAVE to go through and that mall is full of folks wanting to braid your hair, provide transportation to Atlantis, take you on a tour, etc. I think that most would agree that it is overwhelming, albeit the way of life for many Bahamians. If you want to experience town, you will go though this. If you are adventurous, leave the port and go down to Bay Street (about a block away, cant miss it, main road), turn right and go to the straw market. On your walk you will see many of the shops that are presented on board. It is worth an experience, just do not go in with a lot of very high expectations.
