Any strong feelings on the pirate museum?

Thinking about doing it on our upcoming cruise.

We walked right by in on Tuesday. It looks nice, but we have never visited. It is a very short walk from the port.

Up the street from the Pirate Museum is the Government House, which is not open for tourists, but is worth a look. For fans of the Netflix series "The Crown", a few years after the abdication of King Edward VIII, the former king was assigned to be governor of the Bahamas and he directed the remodeling of the Government House.

I've enjoyed the pirate m' and so did the kids when pre-teen. note it really is a museum not 'pirates of the caribbean' knock-off. plenty of reading .....

We had a nice time there. It's an easy walk and we stopped at the straw market on the way back. My daughter (age 8) enjoyed it, as did all the adults in our group. It's not overly huge, maybe 30-40 minutes total, but it's nicely arranged and has some interesting information.

It's fun. We went when our kids were 12, 10 & 10. Kinda campy, but fun. Took about 45 minutes to an hour to do the whole thing at a leisurely pace

My husband and I did this two years ago and enjoyed. I love history and learned from it. There is a gift shop at the end also.
