I have booked the glass bottom boat trip for our excursion in Nassau for our family of 5 however now I am second guessing it. Actually I am not sure what we should do while in Nassau. I'd also love to see Atlantis as well as the straw market (where-ever this is - if someone knows please let me know). Can you get to Atlantis without booking the excursion or is it worth it to book it even after doing the boat tour?

How easy is it to get around Nassau? Do you suggest getting cabs or I thought of renting scooters?
We also love to snorkel and ride bikes however I have this planned for castaway.
Any suggestions for this day would be appreciated

We just did the Dolphin Encounter on our 1/13 cruise, and we absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend it. It is a little more expensive than some of the other excursions, but to me it was well worth it. It's also something good for the whole family.
As for the straw market, it's just a short walk from the dock. It's right there on Market St., so you should have no trouble finding it.
As far as wether you should rent a taxi or rent scooters, that is up to you. I can't offer you any advice on that. However, I can tell you that there will be all kinds of transportation readily available for you that can take you all over Nassau, wether it be a ferry, taxi, or horse and buggy. :moped:
Hope this helps!
