Nassau Excursions

You are going to get different opinions on this. Some people like to stay on the ship. Myself, if there is a port I am getting off the ship. I travel to learn, to experience and to see new things. I think it is a mistake personally to not get off the ship. A number of years ago we did an excursion that took us to the Junkanoo Museum, Port Charlotte and the Queen's staircase. It was fantastic. So yes I believe it is for my family.

That depends. If you've never been then I'd say yes; I always get off the ship if it's a new port so I can experience it, even for a little bit. However, I've been on several cruises that have stopped in Nassau so for me at this point it's a "been there, done that" type of thing and I'm not inclined to get off the ship.

Totally agree with this. Nassau is fine the first few times. I’ve stopped at Nassau more than that and now have no desire to get off the ship there.

in January we were not going to get off the ship. We watched funnel vision on the wish in the morning, but by 11am we were bored. Got cleaned up, took a taxi to Atlantis and played some craps for a while, then came back. Nassau is what you make it.

We don't feel the same hate for Nassau that many do. We can always find something we want to do.

We get off the ship so that DW can replenish her cosmetics inventory at a fraction of the cost at John Bull, the MAC store and other stores. Be warned: their inventory is hit and miss, but the prices are pretty darn good (so she says - I have no idea about that stuff).

We got off with our 4 kids to walk to the Pirate Museum. It was the perfect excursion and a lot of fun and back to the boat for lunch.
