Anyone have any comments about the Glass Bottom Boat Excursion in Nassau? I have 2 girls that love marine life.

Also in general does the ship dock in Nassau or do you take a dingy into port? Is there anything worthwhile right at the dock.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

If the girls like marine life, take them snorkeling.

IMHO the glass bottom boat excursion is only good if you like to just ride around in a boat.

The "glass bottom" is really just a pair of window that are about 3x6 ft in size, but they are at least 2 feet below the deck of the boat. By the time you add the wall around this port-hole, your face is at least 6 (if not 8) feet away.

It's like going out to see Yosamity National Park, but you only get to see the scenerly through a picture frame.

when we did this in Nassau several years ago, it was very disappointing. I would pass and find something else that would be better worth the money.

I've also done this in Nassau years ago and I didn't care for it at all...everyone had to crowd around an opening in the bottom of the boat and look down at the little window at the bottom of the boat, there wasn't room for everyone so half the time you were sitting so others could see.
