Nassau excursion or on your own question

Has anyone ever done the Historic Nassau City Tour? Can you go to the Forts on your own. There will be 5 adults and a 4yo. Not sure whether we should do the excursion or venture out on our own. We would like to do the aquarium at Atlantis, but cannot find any info on the cost of admission either.

Any help will be appreciated.

This probably isn't much help, but we are going to venture forth on our own next week. I managed to locate a walking tour of Nassau on the lonely planet website complete with map, so we're going to give that a whirl & see how we get on. Thanks for the info. I had seen the one site for Atlantis. It does not tell you how much to see the aquarium. I do like the other site and they have some pretty interesting tours. We are not interested in the touristy things or shopping. We have already been to Blue Lagoon and want to something different.
