Is there anyone out there that can compare the two? I am really interested in hearing which one is more enjoyable.

By the way, thanks to all that gave me info. on my previous thread. It's wonderful to read everyone's views. You are all very informative.

I will tell you Discovery Cove is so muchmore than just a dolphin encounter. It has a whole day's worth of adventures. Do I sound like a sales brochure? It is huge. They have rivers, snorkeling lagoons, stingray encounters....It is not crowded either because they only allow a few people into the park each day. Anything in Nassau is usually done poorly. Are you referring to Blue Lagoon? If so we did that.It was short and sweet. It was however better than most. I personally from living here with Discovery Cove would say go for that. Is there a huge price difference? I guess that could weigh into my decision.

Oh, thanks so much for your reply. Discovery Cove is more $, however I think the time spent with the dolphin and the small group would be worth it! I heard the excursion in Nassau was a little "different."

Sea World does everything first class. You feel very pampered at DC. It WILL be worth the price difference. Use your Nassau day to go to Atlantis. You might want to look into getting a day room at Atlantis or Comfort Suites thread that is what we usually do.Awesome. Wave when you get here.

I did the dolphin swim, not encounter, with Dolphin Encounters in Nassau last October. There were 8 of us in the group, 6 of us were traveling together. We had a blast. From what I have read about Discovery Cove, DC is much better than DE given that you spend an entire day on the property. You spend about 3 hours at DE, and only 30 minutes or so of that is with the dolphins. That said, the trainers were great and we had a blast with them. One of the dolphins had a baby that was in the pen with us, and he was trying to do all the behaviors that his mom was doing. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Here's another vote for Discovery Cove!!
We went ther with the kids. It was a lot of $$$, but we forfeited other things to do it. It was worth every penny! We were there at opening time, and stayed all day. Aside from the dolphin swim (AWESOME), there is education time, stingrays, tropical fish, lagoons, avairies, lazy rivers with waterfalls, clean restrooms/lockers/showers, great food, and more. I guess if you factor the time spent at the location, the meal, the location (DC is GORGEOUS!!), and the security of knowing it is affiliated w/ Sea World....
I hope to go back there again someday, but I think it may have been a once in a lifetime event...
I can't give feedback on the other dolphin swims, but I think I may be too biased with Discovery Cove to objectively do one. :goodvibes
