Nassau, do you like it or don't like it?

Yeah, the Wyndham. It changes ownership quite often. The first time I went to the Bahamas was in 86? or so. It was the Carnival Crystal Palace. Owned by Carnival cruise lines. As I recall, it is a nice place and it does have a very nice beach. I would go there before spending the $$$ for Atlantis.

Really you would go there b4 paying the $$ for Atlantis??? I know they have a pool but is there a nice size slide too? Also I guess you can snorkel if you have your own equipment? I just want to be sure I'm not trespassing or anything plus it's only me and my 11 yr old dd this trip so I wanted to be safe. You know Mickeyfan1 I think you sold me on doing this instead of Atlantis. I mean why pay all that $$ after paying so much for the trip. We're doing DC while in WDW too so I think this would be perfect.

Yes, I would go there first. And they do encourage cruise ship passengers to do it, so no tresspassing to worry over. I can't tell you about the pool, or slide, like I said, it's been since 86 that I was there. I stay on the ship in Nassau now. I can't tell you about snorkeling there, but the water is beautiful so I would think it would be a nice place to see some coral. One thing you won't see are the really bright fish like Nemo. They are more in the Pacific. I have seen Baracuda, Gar, sting rays, and other non identifed fish while snorkeling. I think you will have a great time.
