nassau beaches?

Are there any public beaches that are close to the boat that are nice, or are we better off booking an excursion thru dcl to blue lagoon? If we don't do an excursion, what else is there for us to do?

I am leaving for a cruise this week, I haven't yet been but we are planning to take cabs over to Cable Beach as per a recommendation earlier on this board.

We are going to try Cable Beach next week. There was a thread or two on this a few weeks back.

Heard it was beautiful. Directions were - go to the Main Street, take a right, go to the end of the street. When you see the Hagaan Daz Ice cream place, hop on the bus and it'll take to you Cable Beach.

The bus is $1 per person, and the beach and chairs are free. Everytime I've gone, it's been a quiet, relaxing beach. Hope you have fun!

Do you know how early the buses start running?

We would probably be getting off the boat at 10'ish.

To LoveMickey, can you please give us a report on how it goes for you? I'd love to know how you liked the buses, were they difficult to find, are you bringing a bag lunch from the ship, was it an easy time catching a bus back to the ship, just everything you can think of! Thanks alot!

I don't know the exact bus hours, but I think it would be running by 10 because it takes the locals to school and work.

Yes, I'll report on the Beach. Planning on doing a trip report when we return, but I'll post a Cable Beach visit separately on these boards. I'm only planning a brief visit, since DH is not a beach person, so we'll probably be going back to the ship for lunch. But I did hear that was a good idea. We'll be at WDW afterwards, so I won't be posting til after the 14th. Can't wait to be on the Wonder.
