The 34th race of the 2010 36 race Nascar season takes us to Texas Motor Speedway for the 'AAA Texas 500'.
The race will be held on Sunday November 7th. Texas Motor Speedway is a quad-oval track and the race will go 334 laps. The lap distance is 1.5 miles so the total race distance is 501 miles.
Qualifying is set for Friday November 5th. Please make your picks before qualifying is scheduled to begin.
#99 Carl Edwards has the most victories here since 1975. He has 3 wins.
Other history:
In 4/10 #14 T Stewart sat on the pole in a race won by #11 D Hamlin.
In 4/09, #00 D Reutimann had the honors at the start of the race but #24 J Grdon had the honors at the end of the race.
In 11/09, #24 J Gordon turned in the fastest qualifying time and #2 Kurt Busch won the checkered flag.
In 4/08, #88 JR led the field but gave way when #99 C Edwards led at the end.
In 11/08, #24 J Gordon was first behind the pace car and #99 C Edwards was first to cross the start-finish line.
In 2007, the winners of the two Texas races were #31 J Burton & #48 J Johnson.
In 2006, the winners of the two Texas races were #9 K Kahne & #14 T Stewart.
OK! I hope that helps you as you make your picks.
My Texas Motor Speedway picks are:
1. J Johnson <~~~ I spy with my skeptical eye that short of a blown engine...NASCAR is making sure he wins his 5th in a row....
2. D Hamlin <~~~ I spy with my hopeful eye that the above is not true...
3. K Harvick <~~~ I spy with my wondering eye why he didn't fuss more yesterday....unless...it's because he and #33 are team mates...
4. C Edwards....I spy with my jiggly eye if we'll get to see him flip....
5. J Gordon <~~~ I spy with my superstitious eye that his engine didn't blow up yesterday....OOPS!
My spare willbe JR!!
Oh...I am not happy with the ups and downs 45 minutes Nascar announced after the race ended....or the 15 minutes it took to announce a winner...
It just seemed so....professional wrestling like....no offense to professional wrestling...lol
Let 'em race!
OK!
Good Luck EVERYBODY...and...ENJOY the race!
