Please make your picks before the start of the race.

Worldwide Technology Raceway is a 4 turn oval track with a lap distance of 1.25 miles. 240 laps are scheduled for a race distance of 300 miles.

This is only the 2nd rave held here. #22 is the defending champion.

Well kind folks, NASCAR announced today that Chase Elliott (driver of the #9 car) was issued a 1 race penalty for intentionally wrecking Denny Hamlin (driver of the #11 car). That penalty will apply to the race this weekend in Illinois.

I have picked him and will edit that post when done here. I am the only one so far.

If you do pick him I will use your spare. If you just pick #9, I would only use the spare if no substitute driver takes over in the #9. I have not seen an announcement of a substitute yet.

I will keep you updated as needed.

Taking a look-see on a jam packed weekend...

Just beautiful weather....attending a pig roast that benefits the local Soap Box Derby group today...knowing in advance I will eat too much...

Tomorrow we will be going to a local park/fairground for an antique car show....unfortunately, I cannot take my Corvette to show...

It is an all MOPAR show....chrome for miles and an abundance of push button automatics and cannot forget to mention the hemi engines that will be there nor forget to say and some great conversations...
