You know I should be happy with Jeff's 3rd pole of the year but I look back to the other races where he got the pole and...well, let's see Martiansville - he dominates the race then track attacks him and he finishes 6th. Michigan - he dominates the first 82 laps and then blows the engine and gets a DNF. Maybe 3rd time is the charm and he'll win from the pole - here's hoping Felt bad for Boris, I think he was suffering from performance anxiety during his qualifying lap - too much pressure to repeat his pole run from last year. Then again it may have just been the car, last year he was in the 01-Army car when he got the pole, this year Nemecheck is in it and he qualified 9th.

It'll be a fun race! Go Boris! Go Jeff!

Congratulations to our winner this week Muushka - nice job! (you can keep it going at Daytona too if you'd like -- especially if it means Jeff wins again )

Well, I thought it was a great race, but you guys would be able to figure that out anyway. DH is happy, Mikey in 4th wow and Mark Martin finishing 8. Boris did me proud coming in 6th, he's going to get that first NASCAR road race win soon. Nice come back by Jr and how about Casey Mears coming in 7th. Those who have seen NASCAR 360 have got to be asking "were his grandparents there or not?" (If you haven't seen the show, everytime they come to the track he gets a 7th place finish )

Next week the Pepsi 400 at Daytona at NIGHT! Cool. I watched this race from Orlando last year, hard to believe it's been a year since I was at WDW...oh well. It's also our last week with Fox as the broadcasters, NBC comes back the next race. Will post the new thread tomorrow.

I am sick today so I watched very little of the race (couldn't keep my eyes open) but I was so happy to see that Jeff Gordon had won ! And I was also happy to see Waltrip and Jr. did well too .

Does anyone know what happened to Rusty? I missed the last lap of the race - when I went out of the room, he was about 4th, and at the end I caught a glimpse of him stopped on the track. Did he run out of gas?

Yep, Rusty ran out of gas. And please don't take this the wrong way but I had to laugh - why you ask? In the NASCAR chat room where I spend every race the Rusty fans were chanting Gordon out of gas, over and over. I personally believe in Karma, what you wish on another driver happens to yours (which is why I never speak ill of any driver)...so when Rusty ran out I had to laugh at the fans chanting Sorry to see that happen to Rusty, he ran a great race and deserved a much better finish.
