Reminded me of Busch at Bristol last year.

He must have taken off that blindfold he was wearing last. Makes it hard to see while driving and unhooking all that gear.

Gordon made a nice comeback late in the race! Go Jeff!

Congratulations to Tony Stewart and his fans!

Congrats to JRYDBERG whose highest finisher was 11th, nicely done!

Well, that was an interesting race ;) They always said Stewart was better the 2nd half of the season than the first and if this is a sign of things to come he may just pull off that 2nd Championship. I wish Loomis had figured out Gordon's problem about 3 cautions sooner but I'll take a 4th place finish - better than the alternative (no finish) I guess. Pretty impressive coming from 21st to 4th in about 11 laps. We all know Jeff is normally better the 2nd half too so this could be an interesting chase (Go Gordon Go ;)) Here's how the rest of us did:

No race next week (bummer) but it does give me more time to work on the mid-season standings. Truthfully, I didn't do anything last week so I have to start from scratch this week. Should have the results sometime later this week - will start a new thread for them. Enjoy the off weekend. Will post a thread for NH (Loudon) on July 19th.

Congratulations to JRYDBERG. That was some mighty fine picking on your part. Also, you get congrats from Jet88 since she is away (ps, nice job on a close 2nd place). Off weeks are a bummer (not to the drivers though) I think I will go and catch some short track action at one of my local tracks. Have a great couple of weeks everyone.

Congrats, JRYDBERG!! :teeth:

So NASCAR has announced Baldwin's punishment for the pit incident on Sunday - $10,000 fine and probation until 31 Dec 04. Knew they could not suspend him or the crew since they did not suspend Stewart for going after Vickers. But I would not want to be the next person involved in an incident because they are probably getting fed up and the next person will be the "example."

By the way - Gordon fans Jeff will be on Celebrity Poker on Bravo Thursday night at 9PM ET. Hope he does well ;)

Jr fans - an off weekend for NASCAR but JR will be racing, he's doing a American Le Mans race this Sunday at Sonoma - he's driving with Boris Said. The Infineon Grand Prix of Sonoma will get the green flag at 11:00 a.m. (PT) on Sunday, July 18, and will be televised live in North America by CBS Sports from 3-5 (ET)

ToriLammy, thanks for all the great info and heads-up on Jr's race this weekend.

I hope everyone has a great weekend (without NASCAR???????)

Which makes me look forward even more to going to Watkins Glen in 4 1/2 weeks. Jr. working with both Boris Said and Ron Fellows can only make him a better road racer. Have a great week everyone.

Hey Everyone

I was at both races Busch and Nextel and what a weekend! I was only hoping for Jr to do better....but I know in my heart he'll be #1 at the end of the season (sorry all of the Jimmie fans) and I do have a close 2nd in my heart for Jeff Gordon...gotta love that boy too!

Just had to share...I've been missing from here and wanted to do my NASCAR shout out!
