NASCAR Back!

Disney is my first passion, NASCAR my second! (Well other than my dh and kids ) Since I have to wait until Jun to go to Disney I am so glad my Sundays will be filled with NASCAR races until then. Tonight, the Bud Shoot Out. Only 19 drives for 70 or so laps but it's racing time baby!

February rolls around again, and I become a Nascar Widow!! LOL!!

Actually I like to watch too. My dad used to race Midgets in the late 70's and early 80's. So I've been around racing almost my entire life. Went to Indy every year as a child. Met some famous racers there.....oldies but goodies, Mario Andretti, Johnny Rutherford and many others.

How about Kenny Schrader finishing 6th! I'm so glad he found a car for this year.

If this race was any indication of how the season will be it's gonna be GREAT!

Don't forget the Gatorade 125s (qualifying races for the Daytona 500) are on Thursday at noon on FX. Kinda feel sorry for NASCAR fans who have to work!

Oh Catptain Fink!!! I'm sooooo jealous! DH & I will be celebrating our 12th anniversary Sunday watching the race. We're big fans.

Between our kids and us, we have so many "fav"drivers. DD (4) is always routing for her "Lil E" ( won't wear anything but one of his t-shirts to bed as a nightie during racing)
DS (9) likes Gordon (ICK)
DH likes #6 Martin and #32 Craven
I myself...route for #88,#99, and #32

So in our house, we make up signs for them all for the 500.

Go #8,#24(grudgingly),#6,#88,#99,#32!!!

'bout time for the winter to be over. I too had racing on all day Saturday- from the ARCA race (only watched pieces while BTTF was on), then WC practice, SPEED news, the Bud Shootout and NHRA drag racing.

DH is a 24 fan, so you can imagine the rivalry. DD (11) just discovered how *cute* Dale, Jr. is and roots along with me most of the time.

No it doesn't get much better. Our trip to WDW in June/July coincides with the Pepsi 400 at Daytona (the night race). Haven't gotten tickets yet but I'm working on it. I figure even if I can't get tickets to the race I can drive up from WDW to Daytona to watch the practices
