Narnia shield/Pirate poster worthless?

Perhaps this has been true for awhile, but I just now noticed it. Since when have you not been able to sell these items back? I know they're worth piddly points, but at least they were worth SOMETHING. Now they're going to sit and rot in my inventory. Anyone know what's going on and why I can't sell the Narnia shield? BTW, all other Narnia items are still sellable, just not the shield. TIA!

As far as I know when they made they made everything tradeable you could no longer sell it back for the credits. I was doing some of the POTC codes still trying for a Sparrow costume and when I went to sell the organs, posters and monkey lights none of them could be sold. Now I guess we have to either give them away or store them all to get them out of inventory

Yep.
Now you have to take up your rooms storing these things. Who would want to trade for them when everyone already has a million of them?

That's strange. I mean if they're worried about people getting too many credits from ill-gotten shields all they have to do is make the value 0 credits. That way, at least you can get rid of them... ???

It wasn't just those Pirates and Narnia items either.

I had bought some water troughs from Golden Horseshoe, and I noticed I couldn't sell those back, either. Now they are taking up real estate in a store room.

dont you think VMK should have a way to at least get rid of each item you get.



Some of them, you can do nothing with.

Thanks all for the info. It's really too bad...I have 20+ shields just sitting - that used to be 200+ credits. I know, not a mind-blowing amount, but Christmas items are breaking me and there's no way I'm going to decorate a whole room in those shields. It's a good thing I guess that I sold so many of them before that policy changed!

Yeah, vmk should make an icon on the screen where it has a "trash can" and click on it and you can decide what item to dispose of. that would be great!

I have a quest machine set up in my holiday town room. It is an easy 2 task quest where everybody gets a prize.

Any of the non-sellable items that you do not want, or any other items, I will gladly take off your hands to throw in the quest machine.

Believe me I feel your pain, I started a quest over 2 years ago to have the most pins in VMK. I took everybodys npc pins untill i could no longer trade or do anything. I tried giving some of them away in the quest machine but people would say "All I got was a Ned pin?" and then be mad at me.

On a side note, I am very happy with the new inventory system!
