We were able to be the fourth group to see the new Narnia set attraction today. It opened about four o'clock. It was raining, but luckily the que was covered. Each group consisted of about 150 people, and you have 15 minutes in the attraction. The attraction starts in front of a large cabinet door. After a brief introduction, the doors open to a winter scene with a large movie screen at front. You view an extended Narnia trailer, then you move through an impressive, but small, set. Finally, you are able to view about ten movie props. All in all, it's interesting. However, it seemed more of a promo than a movie attraction. It might have worked better a couple of months ago instead of the day of the movie opening. Below are some pics.

. T-i-double-g-err Althought the story is for a younger set, the scary situations and special effects are very similiar to the Lord of the Rings. If he is bothered by Shrek I would think this is a no go. See it first, and then decide. Why not read the book to him also? Then he would know what to expect. My dh read these to ds when he was 3 and he loved them, ds read them for himself when he was 7-8. Of course, dh read him the Hobbit and LOTR books when he was 4, and ds read them to himself when he was 8-9, so maybe we're just wierd?
It's great that you read with your kids, whatever you read! BTW if your girls like fantasy and comedy, you should try The Wee Free Men and The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents by Terry Pratchet, I love these
. All the adventure without the heavy drama. Just be careful, he does mostly adult fiction set in the same realm, still silly, but not for young kids.
