My husband and I don't like sushi and he thought the lobster/fillet looked good at Naricoosees. But I'm wondering if we are going to be sorry we missed the CA Grille? Has anyone been to both? Where would you spend your 2 TS credits. We will be leaving kids at the kid club that night so its just the 2 of us. Thanks for any advice

Just had dinner at Narcoossee's on Aug 30th, simply amazing. Great food, phenomenal service. We had a 5yo with us and there were lots of kids in the restaurant so don't feel you have leave them. Cool thing is we had an ADR at 8pm and got to see EWP, kids loved this, then went out to the dock to see Wishes, lots of families there. Music is piped into the restaurant. If you aren't just trying to leave the kids for the night I'd bring them. We were not dressy, but more dressy than for any other meal. Nephew wore golf shirt, khaki shorts and white sneakers, he fit right in. If you don't like sushi CA might not be the fight choice for a total of 4TS credits, but someone who has been there done that will be better suited to comment on that. I"ll just say that you are unlikely to be disappointed at Narcoossee's and it can be a fun family night, just get the kids a nap if you stay for the parade and Wishes.

We went to Narcoossee's last year and we paid for the dining plan. I felt that it was good, not great, but it was still definately worth 2 TS/person. If I had been paying OOP, I probably would have been a bit dissapointed. It wasnt worth $200, but it was worth a total of 4TS credits.

We're going to try California Grill this year because while we liked Narcoossee's, we didn't like it enough to go back.

We like Narcoossees very much. CG grill has been hit or miss for us, service wise but Narcoossees has always been great. DD had the filet with peppercorn sauce at Narcoossees and it was excellent....just as good or even better than CG. I enjoy both restaurants very much but have been dissapointed a few times at CG....never at Narcoossees. We also like the fact that Narcoossees is less crowded and viewing the firework from the outside deck. Oh and 1 more reason we perfer Narcoossees......Almond Crusted Cheesecake....YUMMY! My favorite dessert in the world!
Enjoy!

My fiance and I are big advocates of the California Grill. Unlike the Brown Derby, which had good food but was absolutely deafening (so many people getting the show and dinner package), California Grill has a more relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious (I had the house specials), and because our reservation was later at night we were able to watch the Hallowishes fireworks from MK on the balcony. They pipe the music in, and it was gorgeous. We don't regret it at all. Well worth the extra credit. I can't say as to whether it's better than the other one you mentioned, since I've never been, but I can offer that if you do go to the Grill, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Sounds like you'll enjoy yourself no matter where you go.
