planning on making an ADR here. want to see the fireworks which are at 9. what would be an optimal time to make reservations. do they still dim the lights

We have eaten there twice at fireworks time and I honestly don't remember if they dim the lights. Mostly they suggest that you go out to the deck to watch.

What time would depend on where you want to be in your meal when it is fireworks time. If you want to be finished, I would suggest a 7:15-7:30 ADR. If you want to watch during the middle of your meal, I would suggest 8:15-8:30.

One thing to remember about staying inside during the fireworks is that lots of people (diners from earlier in the evening) go out onto the deck and really kind of obstruct your view. You're looking at the backs of people from the waist up with some fireworks over their heads. It's not like CG. YMMV

We just go about 20:00 hours and the girls leave the table and go out on the deck when people start gathering.
