OMG, the menu looks and sounds SO good!!! I was looking for 1 more dinner for us. Is it as good as it sounds? I know it's signature, so we are short 1 credit, I'm guessing it would be cheapest to pay oop for our 2 breakfast buffets. Also is there a dress code, and are there many kids? We will go early, maybe 5/5:30.

I had dinner at Narcoossee's in December and it was overall the best meal of the trip. We had the calamari and crab cakes for appetizer, the surf and turf, filet, and steamed lobster for dinner, and sorbet and mousse for dessert. All of the dishes were done very well (especially the filet and calamari). The desserts tasted wonderful and were very pretty.

We were there fairly late (our ADR was for after 8 pm); we did that so we could see Wishes while we ate. That was a lot of fun, as was the Electric Water Pageant that does a show stop in front of the restaurant.

There were a number of families with young children there while we ate. All of the kids were really well behaved - no screaming or running around. The atmosphere was definitely skewed more towards fine dining than casual.

We were there in December during one of the cold spells, so there were no shorts or tank tops to be seen (but there were very little short or tank tops anywhere to be seen because it was in the 40's). Most people were wearing long pants and long sleeve shirts. We did see several couples in dress clothes (dresses for the women, sport coats for the men).

We had dinner there for our 1 year wedding anniversary and it was delicious! We'd definitely go back!

I know what you mean.....we have ADRs there for our May trip and I am really excited about this one. Our reservation is for 6:30pm, a little too early for the fireworks, but I still think it is a good time to watch the sunset. We will be having our 9 and 7 year olds with us, but they have been to many of the signature restaurants in the past and have done very well. In fact, they really enjoy going to the "fancy" restaurants, as they call it, because they love the food there and they love to get all dressed up for them. We are on the DxDP this coming trip so we have planned out a lot of Signature restaurants for them to get all gussied up for :goodvibes

Have been there twice in the last month.....taking the little boy (four) next week. LOVE it!
You don't really need to dress up too much....but it's certainly a nice place (I always wear a sport coat--but certainly not necessary)..my wife wears her weirdo fancy jeans and normal wifey clothes... certainly not dress up like church or something.
The food - and service- are just excellent. Get the Lobster!

We enjoy it very much. In fact, we usually enjoy it twice each visit. The food is good, the service is good and the atmosphere friendly. Some may feel that the restaurant is sometimes noisy - hard wood floors, etc. But, we have never had a problem with the noise levels. There are many families and the children are usually very well behaved.

I must agree with Hulavol about the lobster. Here in Australia our native lobster (crayfish), while very nice, is not as sweet or succulent as the Maine lobster. So, for us, it is a treat.

Speaking of lobster....I have a really really dumb question. When you order the Whole Maine Lobster, how is it served? Does anyone have a picture of this? I get really freaked out by cooked fish with the eyeballs still intact and the tentacles still on the body. As you can tell I have never ordered a Whole Maine Lobster before but would love to try it. Thanks, and again sorry for the dumb question.

That's it!!! My wife was asking me earlier which restaurant we would like to try in May. She wanted something that we had not tried before and this seems to fit right in with what we want!!!!

we were there last year and it was an awesome meal! we had our three year old with us and I think I wore a nice sleeveless top and skirt and my husband a nice pair of shorts and collared shirt. It is a nice place, but not fancy. We also were there in september and it was HOT, so that is why shorts and sleeveless were worn. We went around 6 ish and it was a mix of families and adults. We loved everything about this place!

i like the diversity of narcoossee's menu. if you go with people who have a wide range of tastes everyone can find something here. we've eaten there 3 times and always enjoyed the meal. dress code is very flexible imo. we had two people join us at the last minute on one of our visits and they were in tshirts and shorts/capris coming directly in from mk and no one batted an eye. i've seen people in cocktail wear and business casual to just walked out of the park. they just don't want swim wear, cut offs, holes/rips in jeans, or offensive sayings on clothing. last time i actually wore a mickey tshirt and capris.
