I arranged an ADR to have dinner at Narcoossee's during our honeymoon. I scheduled it so that we can watch the MK fireworks during dinner. I have heard different opinions on here about the restaurant, and wanted to know if I made a good decision. Any advice would be appreciated!!! :thumbsup2

I'm interested as well. Anyone had the surf and turf? Is it a decent size for splitting, especially coming with dessert and appetizer.

To be honest I thought it was an over priced mediocre steak and seafood resturant and certinaly not worth the price tag. The view of Wishes is quite good outside, but it can get a bit crowded.

The food was distinclty mediocre, however, they have had a change of chef, so it may be better.

Maybe worth looking at Cali grill.

You said you'd be on your honeymoon.

Are you looking for quiet and romantic? If so, neither narcoosees, nor Ca Grill are what I'd call Quiet.

We went there last year in August and truly enjoyed our dinner, I had the mussels as an appetizer and just would have been happy with dish, they were outstanding, my husband had the surf and turf and loved it, nice size steak cooked to perfection, and very good lobster. We were celebrating our anniversary that night, and they offered us some champagne, it really was very nice.

Is the surf and turf a decent size for splitting?

We went there with a group of 13 including one 4 year old and three 6 year olds. I thought the food was good, but I didn't like the atmosphere. For some reason I thought it would be more cozy and romantic (not that I was looking for romantic with a group of 13 ;) ). My SIL just got back and is raving about their adult meal at Citricos, so maybe look into that.

We have been before and it was wonderful! I loved it. Reminded me of a lobster house I went to as a child in Maine. Really great food, a little pricey I do agree but still very good.

We love this rest. But for fireworks the best is CG. Romantic, AP or Citricos. Never had the S&T, but the two pound lobster was great. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We ate there this past Oct. fo rour honeymoon. It was our most memorable dinner!!!
It is our most due on our anniversary date 9/27!!! Last year, we ate dinner next to the windows and as we watched Wishes, the server brought us a small wedding cake. It was fantastic!!! I had totally surprised my DH with the cake, it was not the small cupcake mini wedding cake but a 12 inch round wedding cake!!! It arrived with a white chocolate minine and mickey in bridal attire atop a circle of white chocolate.
I am planning on ordering the same thing this year.. The cake had to have been the most delicious thing I have ver eate...buttercream icing!!! Oh, the fireworks were amazing and very romantic. We had such a wonderful time, we are going to stay at SL at GF for our first anniversary trip!!! I can't wait!! The food was very good, the only thng I didn't like was the butternut squash soup. DH loves seafood and his lobster was unbeliveable he reported. I had the steak and it was fantastic. Have a wonderful Disneymoon!!! If you have any question PM me!!!!

You will have to get the honeymoon buttons at guest services at each park...we got alot of props wearing them. We did wear the Minnie and Mickey hats, but they were sooo hot and uncomfortable.

IMO. . . if you want a truly memorable dinner and a good view of the fireworks, go for the California Grill. I thought the food was much better, and so was the view. Of course, the view from Narcoossee's starts out good, but there is a deck around the outside. So even if you have a window table people from other levels without the great view go out on the deck and stand in your way. At CG there are LOTS of people in the bar for dessert and you do have to deal with folks walking through to go to the observation deck, but they can't block your view of Wishes. Either way, though, you will have a special night because you will be together.

I don't know because I've never eaten there, but I'm interested in opinions on this restaurant too because I'm considering it for our trip in September, but I just wanted to say howdy neighbor, I see you're in Joppa, I'm in Bel Air.

We ate dinner there about 4 years ago. We had heard wonderful things about it. We were extremely disappointed! We had to wait over half an hour to be seated. The atmosphere was 'snobish' and our waitress had an attitude. :worried: The food was fine....but, atmosphere means a lot to us....so, we will not go back.

Thank you all so much for your info...I have always wanted to try Narcoossee's, so what I think I will have to do is make an ADR for California Grill as well. We have the dining plan, and I don't think hubby to be will mind having to use another 2 TS if it is truly worth it. Oh yeah and a howdy to you neighbor, Crazy4Disney72,...at least I am not the only one that enjoys Disney in the area. :thumbsup2 :wave2:
