We just got back from DW. We went to Narcoossee's on Saturday October 20th for a 7:40 reservation. When we got there I asked for a window table. They seated us by a window at 8:05. Not bad at all considering I hadn't previously requested a window!
It was PHENOMENAL- perhaps one of the best meals/experiences, I've ever had- and my entire family agreed. We are certainly not shy from eating at fancy restaurants or expensive ones so we had high expectations.
We arrived, sat at the bar for 25 minutes for our table. Upon ordering wine at the bar, the man informed us that he is their sommelier and allowed us to actually TASTE the wines before buying a glass. I'm not talking about them pouring a 1/2 ounce and letting you sniff/taste and then filling it, I'm talking he pulled out multiple glasses and poured us ones for us to try and pick from! Just amazing!
We got to our table- we ordered calamari, mussels, caesar salads, and crab cakes- ALL were great. The caesar was one of the best I've had and I love caesar salads.
We all went with either the filet or the filet/tail combo. Once again- amazing- the potatoes were so good I'm gonna try and find the recipe!
Wishes- a lot of people went onto the balcony including us, but they did turn down the lights and pipe in the music which was a nice touch. I got teary eyed at Wishes. I was standing out on the veranda of the restaurant with my family and just started to think about how truly lucky we are, how we have already had SO many wishes granted in our lives. Just truly magical.
It was 6 adults and 1 child. The wine was free flowing- and we were a boysterous group!
Our waitress was always there to help us out, get what we wanted, she was very attentive and friendly.
The meal for the 7 of us, including drinks/tax/tip was $822 and my dad who paid the bill for all of us said it was 100% worth it!
It was truly phenomenal. Granted it could have been a lot less but as I stated before- wine was flowing
