Narcoossee's or Yachtsman's

I just made a reservation for Jan 26th at 5:30pm for me, DH and DD5 at Narcoossee's. Now I'm second guessing myself. We have the DDP for a 7 night stay at the Contemporary. So I have booked lots of ressies. We all love steak and seafood.

Can the experts tell me which they would recommend

I can see your dilemma. They are both great restaurants. My DH and I have dined at both multiple times. They both are excellent. If we had a choice, we would choose Narcoosee's. The restaurant is located overlooking the lagoon and the view of the Wishes Fireworks (music is piped in and the restaurant goes dark) from your table, or out on the deck, is priceless. After the fireworks you can then see the Water Pageant Parade out on the lagoon. We have gone to Narcoossee's with and without our children. They are DS13 and DD10 now, but went with us when they were 5 and 7.
We make 5:30 ADR's, go a little early and request a table by the window. It has worked every time. We will be there on Dec. 3rd...I can't wait.

I give a slight edge to Yachtsman for food but with a 5 year old, I'd pick Narcoosees. The views there are spectacular. The restaurant has a bit more "vibe" to it than Yachtsman does. Because the food is not that much better at one or the other, I'd have to give the overall edge, with younger diners, to Narcoosees. There is nothing at Yachtsman that a 5 year old would find interesting.

I was going to say YS till you said "seafood". Perhaps Narcoosees is the better choice in this case.

You can't go wrong with either, I love them both. If steak is your thing you can't beat YS but I agree with PP's on taking a kid to Narcoosees. Also since you are staying at the CR getting there will be a breeze. Kids are allowed at YS and I have seen some well behaved ones there, but it's just not the right atmosphere for them and may even bore them.
