I have had many wonderful meals at Narcoossees, we always stop there at least once every trip. I thought I would try Citricos this time, and was wondering how the two compared??

Can you see the fireworks from Citricos?

Thanks!!

We love Narcoosee's. We did try Citrico's once, found the food fancy, pretentious, tasty, but not what we like. Neither of us can remember for sure whether you could possibly see the MK fireworks from Citrico's, but we both sort of think that you couldn't. We're glad we tried it, but in future we'll go back to Narcoosee's.

... but I really didn't like it -- it seemed overpriced for both food and service, imo. I have heard great things about Citricos' food (don't think you can see the fireworks, however). I am considering trying that restaurant on our next trip in May!

Happy planning,
Sarah

Citrico's is more formal and polished. Both have excellent food. Narcooses is more kid friendly. There are a very few tables at Citricos that have a fireworks view--maybe three or four.

I enjoy both, but for different reasons.

Narcoosee's is lovely. The service is always attentive. The variety on the menu is so good that we often eat here more than once while vacationing at WDW. On a personal note, on one recent visit, our young son was cold while dining, our server realized that he was uncomfortable and furnished him with a Narcoosee's sweatshirt.

I'm bumping!

We're going in November and want to try one of them, but can't decide which.

Can someone describe the food and atmosphere a little more?

Thanks!

We like Narcoossees a little better. We found Citrico's to have a slightly 'stuffy' atmosphere, and waitstaff. That being said, Narcoossees is not our favorite place to eat in the world. I am in somewhat of a 'boycot' mode at Narcoossees, since they stopped serving full yards of beer. :(

I'm with Ducklite--both are good, for different reasons. Citrico's does have a more formal look and feel--maybe because it's right next door to V&A. And while a few tables may have a view of the fireworks, it isn't a spectacular view by any means.
Narcoosee's is a bit more open and "busy"--maybe because it does have a prety good view of the fireworks, and there is also a deck just outside the restaurant where people gather to watch the show.
Both have great food and service--in fact, we're doing both on our trip in May!!

Hello :-) I visited Narcoosee's last in September of 1992.

At the time, I believe they were actually open for lunch and had a special lunch menu. Now, I hear they are just open for dinner?

We ordered the appetizer of Alligator spread that was delicious on slices of fresh bread. We also ordered a half yard of beer.

Do they still serve those items?

I'm going back this July and would love to try that Alligator spread again.

And the yards of beer were so novel.

It made for a really enjoyable mid-afternoon break from the park.

Here goes--

Citrico's is open and elegant. The tables are spaced well apart from each other. The floor is carpeted, chairs are upholstered, both of which serve to create a muted atmosphere. Service is polished, attentive, and reserved. The atmosphere is quiet and refined. The menu is inventive with a wide variety of offerings in both fish and meat. Although originally Citrico's had an Italian fliar, it has been replaced with a widely international group of offerings. Citrico's is not open on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Narcooses is open and airy, with nice lagoon views from any angle. The dining room is heavy on the woods and the table spacing, whicle not tight, is cozy, making for a noisier experience than one would find at Citrico's. The service is freindly and polished. The food is heavy on seafoods and fish, although there are plenty of meat entrees to choose from as well.

At both restaurants the food is excellent. I think it comes down to personal preference. If you are bringing children, then Narcooses would be a better choice--although they are welcomed at Citrico's, it is more formal, and you seldom see children dining there.

Thanks guys!

I think we are going to try Citrico's. This is probably the last trip to Disney for me and my husband before we "start making babies", so we're trying to get all the fancy meals out of our system!
