Maybe my expectations were too high because of all the great reviews people give Narcoossee's, but it was a disappointment for me. It started with a not-so-great server that pretty much forgot I was seated in her area! I had the surf & turf and thought the lobster tail was pretty bland. I didn't get any of the rich, buttery, sweet that everyone raves about getting. The turf was good, though. I had a strawberry shortcake type dessert and it was also lacking zip.

Citrico's I've been to twice and both times the food was excellent and the service top-notch.

We enjoy Narcossee's, but enjoyed Citricos much more for some reason. We can't really put our finger on it (maybe we just drank more that night and were in "happier" moods), but we really enjoyed the dishes we had, were impressed with the service, and found the surroundings enjoyable.

Like I said, however, we also had a very enjoyable dinner at Narcoossee's--the filet is lovely.

First of all, it depends on what type of food you are interested in.

Then I would also consider the makeup of your party. Adults only, Citricos is more sophisiticated in menu offerings and presentation. Narcoosees is much more of a family restaurant with great views that would keep children occupied and enjoying themselves too (not much at Citricos for the kiddos to enjoy).

Overall, I much prefer the food at Citricos. For fish/seafood, I think Flying Fish or bluezoo is much better.

This is a solo, adult trip.

if this is an adults only party i would say citrico's (maybe a little more romantic). also, the flying fish is a marvelous restauant that i think is more adult in flavor. a pleasant experience in seasonings. ;)

in my personal opinion narcoossee's is perfect for adults or adults with children. the menu has more dishes that may be seasoned for children.:thumbsup2

i happen to love them all. :goodvibes

they are two pretty diff restaurants, but i like the experience at narcoossee's better. if you want best seafood on property, i would agree with bluezoo (i think flying fish is a tad overrated and would rank behind both bluezoo and narcooosee's). i really liked citricos as well, but narcoossee's has the location advantage. citricos feels more formal and more sophisticated, so if you are in that mood, that is the way to go. i have had excellent service at both places. hmm- now i am swaying citricos a bit on the premise of the "adult only" trip idea. really - i doubt you can go wrong, so decide based on desired formality and cuisine. or just do both!!:thumbsup2

For adults ony, Citrico's.
Better food and better service than Narcoossee's.
The only "advantage" for Narcoossee's is the view..

for a party of 2 adults, have you considered cali grill? that is one i have not yet been to but have heard is just fantastic.::yes::
