Narcoossee's or Artist Point?

Hello trusted DIS advisors! :)

Here's the plan for our last night at WDW: a romantic dinner followed by a sunset "cruise" across Seven Seas Lagoon. Since it's an EMH evening we can watch the fireworks and then stroll around the Magic Kingdom until midnight...

The missing piece, however, is whether we dine at Narcoossee's or Artist Point.

Here are my pros and cons:

Narcoossee's
Pros - it's the only upscale restaurant around the Lagoon that we haven't tried yet. One focus of this trip is to try as many new restaurants as possible.
Cons - I've not been hearing the best things about Narcoossee's lately

Artist Point
Cons - We've been there once already. We had a less than stellar experience (the waitress and I did NOT get along).
Pros - I've heard such rave reviews of Artist Point that I'm curious to try again and see what we're missing. I'd also like to get a better look at Wilderness Lodge.

Someone please convince me one way or another! :)

Thank you :)

I vote Narcoossee's!!

We just got back from the World, and out of our 6 nights, Artist Point was the only meal we didn't enjoy. Our waitress was great, but the food was not very good. My salmon was AWFUL! I did like the atmosphere, but I wouldn't go back based on the food.

And, the GF is SO romantic!! :cloud9:

Enjoy whatever you may choose!

I would vote ARtist Point...but then I loved the food and the wait staff was wonderful...if you haven't tried Narcoossee's, why don't you do that? It sounds like you've already sort of made your decision anyhow!

Hehe, actually, I was leaning toward Artist Point. However, in the last 15 minutes DH has declared he leans toward Narcoossee's. So we're truly up in the air.

:thumbsup2 Narcoossee's is my all time favorite! I haven't been to AP, so unfortunately I cannot compare the two. But, I can tell you that everytime we have been to Narcoossee's we have had quality food and terrific service! We take the resort launch from the MK over to GF. We like to make our ADR for the first seating so we have a better chance to snag a window seat, in which we have been lucky so far! The view is amazing! :cloud9:

I would try Narcoosees - you have already been to Artists poin and know what it looks like. Plus from Narcoosees it's right on the water and then you just walk to where your cruise leaves from.

Also have you looked at the menus? maybe that will help you decide.

Now that's funny, because we went to Narcoossee's in July and I thought the salmon was terrible there. It was very dry. Although I've had great salmon at AP the last time we went it wasn't cooked all the way through, I'm just happy to find something right in the middle. :thumbsup2 Jiko and FF were great for salmon. Personally I prefer them for a romantic dinner as well. :thumbsup2
I wouldn't return to Narcoossee's anytime soon...if you do go though, I don't recommend the salmon. Go for the pricey lobster, at least it looked good. ;)

The food is spectacular at both! Narcoosees has a fillet mignon that will melt in your mouth!! I'm serious!! We took pictures of them melting in our mouths! :teeth:

Artist's Point is so classy and the meat selection is unique.

However, Narcoosees seems a bit more romantic and cozy to me. Artist Point decor is great, but not as intimate. Just my $.02.
