Hello all, I am new to this site and had a question. My fiancee and I are getting married at Disney World in September of next year. We are looking at having an after wedding dinner at Narcoossee's.

Can anyone give me any information about this restaraunt? I've heard you can call and request something that isn't necessarily on the menu? Is this true? Are they fairly accommodating to requests like this?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

The GF certainly still tries to abide by it's old saying about it being a GRAND experience (Guest Request Are Never Denied). I would definitely contact the restaurant. If you are working with a wedding coordinator I would discuss it with them first. In general Disnay will be accommodating. Congratulations and I hope your wedding day is a Disney Day!

I suggest that you and your husband contact Group Dining or Private Dining (if you are a small group). Don't have the numbers on hand, but if you call the GF, they should be able to assist you. They open up a great deal of possibilities and options you might not have thought of. We ended up using the V&A private dining room for our post-wedding dinner and then moved on to the Grand I yacht for a fireworks cruise. Had we not spoken with Private Dining, we may not have had such a wonderful wedding. They can do custom menus, custom venues, etc.

Narcoosee's is a great restauarnt, but it can be loud and a touch chaotic. After a long day of wedding stress, I would suggest a more relaxing setting. The food is excellent and we enjoy it to be sure, but you may have to yell down the table to be heard.

If you are having an intimate wedding, chances are you'll be out of luck using the wedding dept for assistance with your non-ceremony/cake-cutting events. Intimate coordinators stick to just those two aspects, although you might find a sympathetic ear. This was the big complaint we had with their services, and we definitely let the head of their dept know.

I'll also suggest you poke around the weddings board and the Disneymooners' group (http://www.yourfairytale.com) where this topic gets discussed regularly.

Congrats to you and your soon-to-be-husband. Disney does a bang-up job on their weddings!

Congratulations!!!

When we were eating at Narcoosee's 2 weeks ago, there were 2 wedding parties eating there at the same time. They seemed to be having a great time. One party had a large table up near the bar, and the other was at the far end, so they appeared to have plenty of room, and were somewhat secluded from the other diners.

We LOVE Narcoosee's! The food and service is fantastic, and the view of the MK is great as well!

I hope you have a marvelous time! and again, Congratulations... how lucky to be getting married in WDW!!!

My Dad is getting married at DW Nov 26th. We are having the dinner at Narcossees. There will be 11 of us. Dad called the restaurant directly and set everything up with them. They said they would set our table up by the window and we are timing it to watch the fireworks around dessert time. I will let you know how everything went when we get home!!

Thanks Noodles, we would really appreciate an update when you get back. Hope everything goes well!
