This may sound silly, but does it smell really fishy in there since it's a seafood restaurant? I would love to hear opinions from people who aren't big fans of seafood that have gone there.

Thanks for your input :flower3:

We did not notice a fishy smell at all, except for the wonderful smell of lobster when it was delivered to our table!

I think that this was a fairly elegant and romantic restaurant.

I have never been there myself BUT the ONLY seafood place I have ever been to that smelled "fishy" was Long John Silvers. And for those prices you get what you pay for! :lmao:

I cant imagine an upscale seafood restaurant to smell "fishy" except maybe when the plate walks right next to you (if being delivered to a table near you or your table). If it did, I would NEVER return. EWWW. So I am gonna go with a "no" on this one. (of course that is just a guess) :lmao:

My daughter, who is a chef, tells me that if you smell the fish.. really smell it then it is not fresh.

I remember that when buying fish, if I walk into my local market, and I smell a strong fish smell, no way am I buying from that counter.

Yeah, very true; fresh fish doesn't smell fishy!

No-Narcoossee's does not smell fishy at all. If anything, cooking smells are of meats being cooked or grilled.

Thanks, Everyone!!! We're trying to get ideas for wedding reception locations and this one was on the top the list, now it's the ONLY one on the list!

:cloud9:

No...except when they placed the delicious whole maine lobster in front of me, and it was a wonderful lobster smell!!!

We were there... 10 years ago! I can't believe it was that long ago. But we are vegetarian, and their vegetarian items were delicious and I recall no fishy smell. :hippie:

We eat at Narc's a couple times a year, and I've never noticed a smell. I'm sorry to tell you though, that you're missing out on the best thing on the menu, the steamed mussels;) There is plenty for non-seafood lovers though, enjoy!
